Incidentally the Association of Liberal Democrat Councillors would have you believe there is a byelection in Buckden ward, Huntingdonshire; there isn’t. The sitting Conservative councillor has resigned from a Parish council he sits on but not from the district council. Also the Conservative Party’s list of forthcoming byelections lists a vacancy in Amounderness division of Lancashire; this is presumably a mistake for Thornton Cleveleys as the Amounderness councillor is alive and well.
